Nordic Book Circle: Contemporary Nordic Literature in Translation

Contemporary Nordic literature is full of diverse literary voices, styles, and genres. This monthly reading group will read a sampling of these voices from across the Nordic region available in English translation with particular emphasis given to women, queer, and/or BIPOC writers. Literary forms covered will center on novels, along with one collection of short stories, one memoir, and one collection of poetry. If you love to read and discuss literature and would like to expand your appreciation of literature from various parts of the world (the Nordic world in particular), we would love to have you join us!

September author bio: Johannes Anyuru, born in Borås, Sweden, is a Swedish poet and author.
