Two sessions of this popular class are offered on December 12 at 10 am–12 pm and 2 pm–4 pm.
In many Scandinavian households, the holidays are a time to look for tomte—the small, bearded guardian of the home with a tall red hat. In this two-hour workshop, led by textile artist Melba Granlund, you’ll create two of your own tomtar (about 3-4″ tall) using wool roving and basic 3D needle felting techniques. Your little guardians will be ready to take home and hide in a pocket, tree, or on a mantel. Suitable for ages 16+.
A $20 materials fee is due to the instructor during class, which covers all tools and materials to create two tomtar.
