Local Sweeteners

Pull out that local honey and maple syrup—go far beyond tea and pancakes! Local cookbook author Beth Dooley and home cook and photographer Mette Nielsen will share some of the delights of working with local sweeteners while sharing recipes from their book Sweet Nature: A Cooks Guide to Using Honey and Maple Syrup. Beth and Mette will share kitchen tips, conversions, and local food facts as they demo everything from vinaigrettes to snacks. Students are invited to bring their copy of the cookbook for reference and signing or may purchase one from the authors.

This is a demonstration-style class and includes a light meal. Coffee and tea are provided; additional beverages are available for purchase prior to class. Please confirm dietary restrictions with ASI upon registration.
