Knowing Ellen Key (English Lecture) with Ingela Haaland

Welcome to a lecture by Ingela Haaland about one of the most influential intellectuals of the early 20th century, Ellen Key. Key was a Swedish feminist, writer, suffragist, and advocate of a child-centered approach to education and parenting. Her 40+ books and hundreds of essays and articles were widely published in Scandinavia, greater Europe, and the US. Key was propelled into world fame with her book, The Century of the Child. She was liberal and radical, and her opinions led to controversy in early 20th-century society. This lecture is in English; no materials are required.
