This class runs Tuesdays, September 24-October 15, from 9 am-12 pm each session.
Join carver Jock Holmen to tackle the details of flat plane carved faces! Faces can be the trickiest part of a traditional Scandinavian figure but also one of the most fun parts. Over four weeks, concentrate on eyes, noses, lips and ears so that you’ll be ready for any expression on your next character. This class will offer a creative and focused environment and will allow for plenty of experimentation. Suitable for all skill levels ages 18+, although most students will appreciate past figure carving experience.
A materials fee of $5 is due to instructor Jock Holmen and covers all tools and materials, although you are welcome to bring your own carving knife (a Flexcut #13 or similar) and glove if you have one.
