First Look: Inscriptions

Be the first to experience acclaimed Swedish artist Salad Hilowe’s first major solo exhibition outside of Sweden while celebrating the opening of Salad Hilowe: Inscriptions. A collaboration between the American Swedish Institute, the Somali Museum of Minnesota, and Berlin-based curator Sagal Farah, this exhibition is a poetic exploration of belonging, spectatorship, and the visibility of the African experience in Sweden over time.

After viewing the exhibition, guests will sit down to a unique and festive Swedish Midsommar-style dinner alongside guests of honor Salad Hilowe and curator Sagal Farah. Each ticket includes a buffet dinner, dessert, and coffee; additional beverages will be available for purchase.
