Felted Pillow Covers

Felt a cozy pillow cover with your unique design and in the colors of your choice, perfect for home or office. Participants will use fast felting Scandinavian wools to create the structure of the pillow cover and then use pre-felt wool to create the design on the front.  Students can choose from a variety of colors of wool and prefelts and will use traditional felting techniques to lay out the wool in thin layers around a pattern, add soapy water and then rub, roll, and manipulate the wool into an envelope style pillow cover. This workshop is suitable for students with any level of felting experience ages 16+.

This workshop requires hand strength and some extended standing. The $30 materials fee covers all tools and materials. Students should expect to leave the class with one finished pillow that will need to dry at home. Students should plan to provide their own 14” x 14” pillow insert.
