Felted Folk Ornaments

Create a festive, quick decoration with needle felting this season! This fun project makes use of cookie cutters you may already have at home, or walks you through using cardstock to create a needle felting form to work in, to make a felted ornament with clean lines, even shape, and adorable details. Students will receive a kit with materials to make two average cookie cutter sized ornaments. These are the perfect last minute gift to decorate a present or tree!

This is a live virtual class taught over Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities.

Kits ($10 value) are included in the class fee. Each kit includes wool roving, a felting needle, and a foam felting base; student provide a few cookie cutters or a piece of cardstock/light cardboard, a darning needle, and yarn, string or ribbon for hanging. Kits will be available for pick up at the American Swedish Institute before the class or can be shipped for an additional $10 fee. Registration for this kit-based class closes on November 29.
