Cozy Friday Taco Night

Tacos might not be the first thing we think of in Swedish cuisine, but tacos are a popular home-cooked meal in Sweden today, especially for “cozy Fridays.” Inspired by Tex-Mex cuisine and popularized in the 2000s, Swedish taco nights often center around hard-shell tacos filled with spiced ground meat and an array of toppings. Kristi of True North Kitchen will walk students through her version of a Scandinavian style taco dinner, including an easy dessert. By the end of the demo, students will be ready for their own fredagsmys (Friday cozy time) at home!

This class is presented as a demonstration so students can watch the entire process and ask questions before tackling the dishes later. The recipe packet will be available for download one week in advance.

This is a live, virtual class taught through Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities. Anyone is welcome to register for the class even if they don’t plan to attend live, as the class will be recorded. The recording will be made available for all registrants for one month after class for review.
