Get ready for the season by creating your own ceramic luminary in the style of a classic holiday village. This evening-long class invites students to create their own ceramic luminary to brighten the dark nights. Students will select a pre-shaped luminary (about 4″ tall) and focus on adding decorations through carved designs, then select from multiple glaze options.
Skill level: Open to all skill levels.
Ages: Suitable for ages 16+.
A $25 materials fee is paid to the instructor in class and covers all tools and materials. Kim will bring the luminaries back to her studio to fire them, then return them to ASI for pick up a few weeks later.
