Canning 101

Get ready to get canning with preserving expert Heidi Skoog, owner of Serious Jams! This afternoon class will focus on the essential tools and skills for preserving food using water bath canning. While the class will make and can a simple jam based on whatever fruit is good from the market, the same techniques can also be applied to jellies, sauces, salsas and pickles. Students will have the opportunity to join in and get hands on, leaving with recipes and understanding to tackle more canning at home and fill up their pantries with delicious homemade preserves year-round. Suitable for ages 18+.
