Nordic traditions recognize the late winter moon as a seasonal shift known as the “Black Frost Moon,” when we experience the quickening energy of late winter in the north. Support your body by taking a day to discover foods, herbs, and traditional activities that will help you stay whole and happy through this late winter season with herbalist Gigi Risberg Stafne. Students will handcraft a variety of botanical goods to help themselves and their families stay nourished in the Nordic herbal tradition.
A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor in class. Students are also invited to bring a lidded glass jar, a bag to carry home their creations, note-taking materials, and a bag lunch (or plan to eat at FIKA Cafe).
