This class meets for 8 sessions on Wednesdays, January 14th through March 4th, from 6:30-9 pm each session.

Build your skills by carving small bowls in the Scandinavian green wood tradition, using fresh-cut wood, axes, and gouges. Over eight sessions, Paul Linden will guide students through the process of selecting raw materials, preparing blanks, shaping bowls with hand tools, and exploring various approaches to finishing. Appropriate tool selection, shop setup, sharpening, and design principles will also be discussed throughout class. By the end, students will have one or more small bowls, perfect for cereal, ice cream, and more.
