The Museum, Café and Store are closed New Years Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Lunch menu is served from 11 am–3 pm and on Thursdays 11 am-8 pm. Happy hour every Thursday from 3­–8 pm. Enjoy 50% off all bottles of wine and $2 off cocktails, and $1 off beer and wine.

Museum Admission

Both walk-up and advance museum admission are available for visits during open hours. Museum admission offers self-guided access to all exhibitions and the historic Turnblad Mansion. Admission is free for ASI members.

Ticketed Events

Select events and festivals, including the Julmarknad Handcraft Market and Midsommar Celebration, may require advance registration and may have special pricing. Explore ASI’s programs to learn more or view all ticketed events on the Events Calendar.

Museum Access Programs

ASI offers several access programs designed to address barriers to participation, deepen engagement and build community. Learn more about our museum access programs below.

To receive the benefits of any of the listed Museum Admission Access programs, please call to reserve admission tickets. These discounts and benefits are not available online.

This program allows free admission to visitors who identify as Indigenous. The program represents ASI’s authentic efforts to engage communities underserved and uplift Indigenous voices and experiences.

Indigenous community members interested in participating can request this program on arrival at the Visitor Services desk or email info@asimn.org.

ASI offers free museum admission to US military employees, veterans, and their families as part of the collaboration between the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America.

Museums for All is a national access program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. This program provides free admission to qualifying individuals and their dependents during regular ASI hours. Special programs and events are not included. Ask for free Museums for All admission when you visit ASI.

To qualify for Museums for All, you must be enrolled in one of the programs listed below:

Free/Reduced Price School Meals

ASI offers free admission to adults and youth who require assistance to experience the museum. These individuals do not need to pay to bring their Personal Care Assistant, interpreter, or other caregivers.

Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) offers free admission to one visitor who is a member of any participating museum.

This arts access program is available exclusively to Twin Cities public library users. Anyone with a library card from one of the eight public library systems in the Twin Cities can find opportunities to reserve free and/or discounted admission to a wide range of arts experiences. ASI offers free admission to the museum during select exhibits or discounts to programs.
